Siem Reap Birdwatching & Floating Village Tour

- 7:00 AM – Pick-up from Your Hotel - I will pick you up, and drive through rural Cambodia, reaching Mechrey community-based boat station in about 45-60 minutes. - At the boat station, we’ll board a boat for a scenic 1.5-2 hour journey across Tonle Sap Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. As we pass floating villages, you’ll get a glimpse of local life and the surrounding beauty. - Upon arrival at Prek Toal bird sanctuary, we’ll explore this haven for rare bird species like the Great White Pelican and Bengal Florican. A local guide will lead us on this tour, offering insights into the diverse wildlife and unique ecosystems. - At lunchtime, enjoy a delicious lunch at a Prek Toal floating restaurant, featuring fresh fish dishes and local specialties like Fish Amok. - After lunch, we’ll visit the floating village nearby, where you’ll see homes built on stilts, floating schools, and fish farms, giving you a rare view into this community’s water-based lifestyle. - Then, we'll return home.
