Private Hiking Tour of Sage Mountain National Park on Tortola

The Virgin Islands (U. S. & British) are looked down upon by this beautiful geological feature called Sage Mountain. Standing 1716 ft above sea level it rises from a ridge of hills that run from East to West which make up the island of the Tortola. As a born and raised Virgin Islander I have hiked this mountain several times and I'm eager to show you it's beauty!

The parking area has a restaurant, gift shop and look out point giving lovely views of the islands to the north side. There is a short hike which leads to the actual park itself. The national park covers 96 acres and consist of about 12 marked trails which loop around the mountain. There is a trail that takes you to the highest point which offers better views to the south.

Sage Mountain has been protected since 1964 and some areas of the park have remain untouched for centuries. It is one of the most green places on Tortola, an arid, windswept, river-less island.

Majority of the beaches in the BVI have beautiful, white washed sand, blue green waters and friendly locals and great food. There are a few however that stands out the most and I know just where they are.
