Come and visit Petropolis, the city built by the Brazilian royal family in the first half of XIX century. The summer palace of emperor Pedro II now hosts the Imperial Museum. On this tour you will learn about the main episodes in Brazilian history and the private life of our monarchs. Petrópolis offers to its visitors not only a varied and rich historical and cultural heritage, but also excels in natural beauty. The city is located one hour away from Rio (65km) in the mountains region. On the way, we will have the view of one of the largest National Parks in Brazil, among the most famous for mountain climbing and hiking in South America. For Cruise passengers, this tour is recommended for a day you are going to sleep over in Rio.
