In this medieval capital of the duques of Brabant we'll admire some architectural highlights like the incredible medieval townhall, the restored medieval Saint Peters church, the beautiful university library - offered to the Belgian people by president Hoover and many American colleges, after World War II -; you can climb the tower for the view of the city (optional). We'll cross the historical center with its Market place (and the student pubs) to admire the ancient main university building - the 14th century Cloth Hal. Furtheron in the center we'll walk the cobblestone street in the medieval Grand Beguinage district with its unique houses and St John the Baptist church. You like architecture, art and history?
