Overview of your Vienna tour:

Of course Vienna is famous for its vineyards within the city limits - the only metropolis of the world that has this uniqueness - but the landscapes of the Eastern parts of Styria, second biggest Austrian province, are absolutely phantastic. No wonder why the area is also called the Austrian Tuscany. Have a phantastic day out of Vienna with cultural and gastronomic highlights. You will drive along some of the most important wine roads through the rolling hills, visit the Riegersburg, a mideaval fortress nestled atop of a huge former volcanic basalt rock with its impressive exhibition about the witches (yes!!!) and will also have plenty of time to relax and enjoy the good wine and excellent food from the region.

Your Vienna tour itinerary

in the morning you will be picked up from your hotel by car or van with private driver and guide. We will drive to the South of Vienna and reach Styria after about an hour driving. Our next stop will be the neat city Hartberg with an absolutely unique ossuary, a chapel attached to the local church with some very strange frescoes - worthwhile! The highlight of the day is definetely the Riegersburg, a medieval fortress which lies strategically on top of a high rock. It has phantastic views into the landscape and a fascinating exhibition about witch hunt in the middle ages. After our visit of the castle and the award winning exhibition we might need smething else, and now its up to you whether you want to see one of Austrias most innovative Chocolate factory or rather go tasting some outstanding champaign in the same area - What is left! of course the wine and the excellent food! So before we go back to Vienna in the evening, we enjoy a phantastic "Brettljausn" and some glasses of the best austrian wines!
