Hello! I'm Carolin I love Salzburg and I know you will love this city soon. I would be happy to show you the secrets and charms of my home town. Do you want individual guided tours in which humor is not neglected? Then you've come to the right place. Because my most important concern is that your stay in Salzburg becomes an unforgettable experience. I have been able to live art history from an early age, I completed my studies in art history in Salzburg and other countries and cultures with their uniqueness are my passion. At a very young age, I was a tour guide in Rome, the Vatican and throughout Italy. I look forward to bringing you closer to my Salzburg, the Rome of the North. Just by walking into the pedestrian area of the city center of Salzburg, you have the chance to discover the beauties of our city, which has been an UNESCO World Heritage Site for 25 years. I'll take you to discover unique palaces and squares created by the previously ruling Prince-Archbishops of Salzburg, which was once one of the leading principalities within the Holy Roman Empire. Did you know the Catholic Prince-Archbishops have created the baroque city (also known as "Rome of the North") with the income from the salt mines? Since I lived in Rome/Italy for a long time, I feel like I'm in my second home. Through this personal reference, I can convey the culture of both cities particularly well. For the ultimate feeling, all that's missing is my red Vespa, with which I rattled all over Rome. Along the city walk, you will also discover the special local delicacies of pastry chefs, chocolatiers, butchers with the Bosna-Sausage, local distilleries and also unique craft business as a carpet weaver.
We'll meet in front of Mirabell Palace. Visit the baroque Mirabell Gardens and get an idea of the previous and actual purpose of Mirabell Palace. Have a glance at the Mozart Residence before crossing the river Salzach, which was used for the transportation of the salt. In the old city center, we'll discover the hand made wrought-iron signs showing the artisans workshop along the medieval trading road "Getreidegasse". Have an external glance at Mozart's Birthplace in Getreidegasse 9. I show you the charming coffee house with the best tarts and cakes in town. At "Alter Markt" admire "Café Tomaselli", oldest coffee house in Austria where Mozart had a coffee. Get to know where the original "Mozartkugel" is produced. In between old and new Residenz see the imposing fountain with four hippocampus. Cathedral and Mozartplatz with a statue of the famous composer. Saint Peter Abbey All external views with great spots to take lovely pictures. * This tour can be customized upon request, please contact me
