Overview of your Brisbane tour:

Brisbane, the laid back capital of Queensland, is located between the famous Gold and Sunshine coasts. It boasts stunning natural assets under clear blue skies. In 1984 the Brisbane City Council made an inspired decision to resurrect the south bank for World Expo 1988. This insured that Brisbane would emerge as a vibrant world-class city. The Southbank Parklands boasts spectacular riverfront views, sprawling lawns, a blossoming arbour, and a host of other fascinating sights and sounds. This former industrial sight was transformed to host the World Expo in 1988. Since then the site has undergone total transformation to become the iconic green space it is today. You will hear interesting behind-the-scenes stories about the park's design and evolution as we wander through picturesque pathways. Our walk will start at the Epicurious Garden end as we meander along the river front through the Cultural Precinct to the State Library and the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA). I can customise this tour at your request. )
