Tatev Monastery & the Magical Southern Armenia - A 2 Days Tour from Yerevan

We'll visit Khor Virap Monastery (4th century), the most sacred pilgrimage destination in Armenia where you'll get the best view of the biblical Mount Ararat (5165m). Our next stop is the Monastery of Noravank, an architectural gem nestled among brick-red cliffs, just above a deep gorge. Visit to Areni village to taste wine in a place where world's ancient winery has been discovered (6100years old). We also visit the miraculous monastery of Tatev riding the world's longest aerial tramway "Wings of Tatev". Tatev is a formidable monastic complex founded in the 9th century and is surrounded by bottomless gorges. Trip to Khndzoresk cave town frozen in time. We visit one of the most enigmatic places on earth - Karahunj or Zorats Karer (the Armenian Stonehenge), perhaps the oldest observatory in the world, 7500 years old.
