Full-day Tour to Perito Moreno Glacier & boat trip

I started doing this tour because of this is one of the most wonderful natural place and I love it!

I will pick you up from CALAFATE HOTEL to start our adventure to Los Glaciares National Park. The distance to the glacier is 80 km along a paved road and the riding time is about 1. 30 hours.

At first the landscape is steppe dry area with small vegetation; we stop by to observe the view of Argentino Lake before accessing the main gate of the national park. Here we'll stop to pay the entrance fees.

After entering to the park the landscape changes dramatically becoming a dense forest with high and small deciduous beech. Besides on the right there is Rich arm of the Argentino Lake and after 21 km we'll do a brief stop to observe the first panoramic view of the glacier.

Then continue to the catwalks and balconies area to check the balconies at different levels and angles in front of the glacier. You will also take a boat trip that get close to the glacier walls.

Once at the mountain village we accompany you for a long hiking on one of the typical trails of the area to provide you good information about the enviroment and history of this place.

Full Day Chalten - Long Hike - 6/9 hours

Pick up from Hotel located in El Calafate or from Calafate airport. Riding all the time through paved routes. Riding is about 3 hours long. During the trip we travel 3 different routes one of the most important is mythic Route 40. The scenery show us the changes made by the ice age, we can see Argentino Lake, Santa Cruz River, La Leona River, Viedma Lake and De las Vuelta River. The landscape on the way is an unforgetdable experiencie just because of nature is pristine El Chalten is just a small town with 3000 inhabitants. and there are several trails to walk around easy or media difficulty.

Full Day Chalten - Short hike

After a 1-hour approach transfer along gravel route number 15, looking back at the old Patagonia of the ranches and contemplating the steppe environment of the Lake Argentino basin, we will arrive at the southern area of Los Glaciares Nationa Park, entering through the Lago Roca access. Nearby to the guardranger's house, we stop at the heading point of the trail to begin one of the most panoramic trekking circuits in the area.
Along the route there are stunning views of the Perito Moreno glacier and on clear days, reaching the summit, we can be dazzled by contemplating the Torres del Paine, the Frías glacier and Mount Fitz Roy.

Hike the most popular trails of El Chalten spending more time in the mountains to take the best pictures of sunset and sunrise of the Fitz Roy massif.
You don't need to carry a heavy pack, we are going to wait with everything at the camp site.
