The Best of Sevastopol and Yalta

If a liner arrives only in Sevastopol we begin with the historical part of the city to see lots of monuments dedicated to two heroic defences of the city during the Crimean War and WWII. Then we visit the Panorama Museum. Its canvas represents only one day of June 18, 1855 out of 349 days the siege of Sevastopol during the Crimean War lasted. Then we make for the South Coast, on our way there we'll take an old road of the Crimea to get to the Resurrection Church built in the mountains. Then we'll take a new road to get to the place from where the castle named the Swallow's Nest, the symbol of the Crimea, is seen. There it is possible to have lunch. Then we'll visit White Palace of Livadia which was the summer residence of the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II and the place where the Yalta Conference was held in February 1945. The same tour can be made vice-versa if a liner calls only at Yalta.

A Recent Review of this tour

Fantastic tour! We did all we hoped to do and were the last folks on the ship before sailing! Sadly, one may now need a Russian visa to visit.
