Ciao! I am Romy and I am a born and bred Venetian: growing up in St. Mark district, the very heart of Venice! Being a native I am of course deeply in love with my magical city: with the amazing history of the impressively durable life of the Serenissima, the Most Serene Republic of Venice, and with the breathtaking beauty of the figurative language that developed here. The amount ofl artworks in Venice is just astonishing, endless and even overwhelming. After achieving a Summa-cum-Laude Graduate Degree in Anglo-American and Hispano-American Languages and Literatures, I achieved a Summ-cum-Laude Master Degree in Art History at Venice Ca' Foscari University. These post graduate studies enabled me to dive more deeply into Venetian Art, History, civilization and political institutions (with a strong focus on the Renaissance period), and to gain the knowledge and expertise needed to be a professional guide in such a complex city as Venice is. This explains why it was so natural for me to become a Licensed Tour Guide. I love learning and I believe we should never stop studying, that is why I am currently studying Theological Hermeneutics of Christian Art at Facoltà Teologica dell'Italia Centrale, in Florence. My second passion is food and. . . yummy. . . gelato! I'm a real foodie, I can promise you'll be taken to the best places in Venice to try our traditional and tasty gelato or cuisine!
