Guide #3407
I moved to Washington, DC in 2000 with the intention of staying three to five years. However, I quickly fell in love with the city and the people - my neighbors are families from China, Honduras, France, Ethiopia, Britain, Australia, etc. , and now I can't imagine living anywhere else. The beautiful monuments, incomparable museums and magnificent federal city are extraordinary, but what I truly cherish are Washington's distinct neighborhoods; rich in history, architecture and diversity of people. Since being in Washington, I have relished the time spent personally touring them with family and friends and I look forward to exploring them with you. Experiencing Washington DC on foot is the most delightful way to see this historical and wondrous city - really touching and feeling this place. Getting close to the stunning architecture, talking with local residents on the streets and sidewalks; in essence, experiencing life the way locals do. If possible, I like to add a surprise site to each of my tours. If you are a Kennedy history buff, I have a special love of the Kennedy homes and can show these and some of their favorite spots in Georgetown, including a possible lunch or dinner at famous Martins Tavern. I am an enthusiastic and creative professional private tour guide. I am timely, people-oriented, and I will offer you a meaningful, personal, private tour. PLEASE NOTE that because Covid is still with us, and because of my compromised immune system, we will meet at a designated site for each tour. You do not need to wear masks outdoors unless you wish. I will also only be providing three tours at this time. Monuments & Memorials, Georgetown, and Eastern Market. All are walking tours outdoors. I do not provide museum tours, nor large group bus tours. I am not a step-on guide. Licensed Washington DC guide Guild of Professional Tour Guides of Washington DC member I am unable to provide transportation. I do not do large group bus tours.
