My name is Lismar - Lis from Luis = my father's name and Mar de María = my mother's name.
I am from a municipality located in the Central Mountain Range in the mountains of Puerto Rico called Corozal, the Capital of the Center of the Island. I am from the country - "The Plantain City". Being Puerto Rican is a feeling that is tied to love for a culture, a nationality, a land, and respect for its history. Since I was a child, I have had the opportunity to enjoy my island. Visiting many places, especially our rivers and our beautiful beaches. Hurricane María made us move to our capital, San Juan, where I currently live.

For 10 years, I worked as a teacher, during that time, it never crossed my mind that I would end up being a Certified Tour Guide and Tour Operator of Puerto Rico and our Tourism Company. I studied and was certified, and today this has become a job that I carry out with so much satisfaction. I LOVE WHAT I DO! This is something that I am passionate about; being able to be part of someone else's vacation, showing them how beautiful our island is. Rich in culture, history, people, food, our forests, climates, beaches, nightlife, and the list goes on and on.

For 9 years I had the opportunity to create adventures, develop and customize experiences to many areas, capture memories, and show my country from the perspective of someone local, born and raised here. Puerto Rico has a lot to offer. I continue being passionate about the outdoors, especially visiting and exploring our rivers. This San Juan Done Right! is a driving tour. This structure takes advantage of transportation to provide a broad scope all-encompassing experience with pick-ups and drop-offs.

In this tour I will make different stops, so we can enjoy the different sectors, areas neighborhoods, monuments, murals… take pictures and stretch our legs, and most importantly have the opportunity to immerse ourselves and learn from our culture.

As your certified tour guide, I will drive you to enter the Old San Juan Islet, advancing via El Escambron. We will also visit "The New San Juan" Condado Area, Puerta de Tierra, Miramar, Santurce, the art district among other areas or neighborhoods of San Juan.

During the several stops, where you have the opportunity to walk outside the vehicle, there will be plenty of time for photos of the areas. You will walk but we will never be far from the vehicle.

Did you know that just around 45 minutes away from San Juan lies this beautiful waterfall?

Immerse yourself in the countryside of our island. Experience the highlands of Bayamon, Puerto Rico. This hiking trail leads you through the lush tropical forest of our mountainous interior to several freshwater pools, ending at a majestic towering waterfall.

At over 1, 000 feet in elevation, your trek requires attention to detail to avoid slippery areas. We will cross the stream several times on the way up. Following the beaten path leads you up over rock formations and fallen trees. Expect uneven surfaces and some rock climbing while you assist yourself pulling on ropes to reach the finale in this full-day adventure.
