Tour guide in Charleston Cooper

Originally hailing from Greenville, South Carolina, I'm one of seven siblings born into an Air Force family. My father, a professor, influenced me and most of my six siblings to pursue careers in academia. Before settling in Charleston many years ago, I worked as an engineer on classified intelligence programs for the National Security Agency (NSA). Following in the footsteps of my siblings, I felt the allure of higher education and transitioned to a teaching role at the University of South Carolina. Today, I am an esteemed historian with three college degrees and thousands of hours of teaching history under my belt. I enjoy sharing lesser-known aspects of history that often go unnoticed. My engaging storytelling style will bring Charleston's history to life by incorporating those intriguing facts into the fabric of the story, in a fun, sometimes irreverent way.
