Guide #54486

I've had many different careers over the years, which makes me an extremely diverse, capable, enthusiastic, versatile, knowledgeable, and personable person, (funny too!). I can get along with just about anyone and engage with them in a manner that will result in a highly entertaining experience. My enthusiasm for all things Vermont is contagious, and you're guaranteed to have an entirely rewarding excursion with me as your guide! Let me share some basics with you about my background, which will make me a fantastic choice to show you around our gorgeous state. The first vehicle I learned to drive was an 18-wheeler semi-truck, as my father was a long-distance truck driver. He'd take me along on many of his trips, where I developed my love of taking in the beauty of the American landscapes. Learning how to drive an 18-wheeler led me to my first profession as a Pepsi route salesman, where I not only did sales but delivered products and put together the displays. Within five years, Pepsi created a new award for highest sales ever and I was the first to receive it! To say that I'm a bit of an overachiever is a bit of an understatement—LOL! From there I went on to my next adventure, building and running my own restaurant, even though I had no cooking, bartending, bookkeeping, or accounting skills! I hired stellar staff and learned from them! After nine years, I thought that it might be a little less stressful and time-consuming to work for someone else, so I worked for an international restaurant chain, where again I rose to the top, winning awards for quality control, as well as growth, working my way up to area supervisor. After 25 years in the restaurant business, I decided to try out one of my other loves, construction. I had built two homes, and a restaurant, which I thoroughly enjoyed, so I started a construction company 15 years ago, and am still currently doing that. In my spare time, I also started an antique trolley business for 7 years in Burlington, where we started out doing strictly historical tours, but then quickly branched out doing brew tours, haunted tours, city highlights and even bachelorette parties, weddings, etc. I'd probably still be doing that, if covid hadn't happened. Vermont had one of the strictest protocols, which we 100% agreed with, but it did put an end to that business, as the trolley windows didn't open, which brings me up to where I am now, ready to start my next chapter in my life with downsized, private tours. I LOVE doing tours, because this incorporates all my loves; everything Vermont, scenic drives, exploring, architecture, art, nature, history, fantastic food, artisan beer, and making other people happy! I have a very spacious and comfortable vehicle, a Ford Excursion, which will make exploring Vermont with me even more fun, so let's get started! Vermont Commercial Driver's License holder, Class B License #72452828 Founded an Antique Trolley Tourism Company where I worked for 7 years until the pandemic. Volunteer fire fighter. Volunteer emergency medical technician. Amateur mechanic. Ran my own restaurant for short of a decade and worked in that business for 25 years. None.
