I have lived in Boston on-and-off since 1971, returning again and again to this great walkable city that is just waiting to be explored. I have lived all across America and spent lots of time in places in Europe, experiencing and learning the local culture, and I'm always amazed at how Boston's history has an outsized influence around the world! My walking tours are different and unique! While we meander the narrow and crooked streets of Boston, we will hold a conversation and customize our path to your interests and questions. My tours are an immersive experience into the rhythm of local culture, while discovering what makes Boston influential and relevant to the events, movements, thinking and people that helped shape American society, in particular, and world-wide in general. I go back to the first documents, using the great collections of Boston's historical societies to understand the ways of life, politics, food, habits, music, literature, beliefs and everyday lifestyles of the past times.
