Hi, my name is Sue and I would love to share with you some of the places I often take my guests. You can often see me visiting the White Cliffs of Dover - a favourite place of mine.

I was born in Yorkshire but grew up in Oxfordshire in a small market town. I moved to Kent 38 years ago, initially working at Dover Castle as a Tourist Guide before training to be a Librarian at the University of Brighton. After working as a Community Librarian for 19 years, I decided to become a professional Tourist Guide, training in both Winchester and Canterbury. Since 2011, I have enjoyed guiding private clients and groups around the South East of England, working for London-based Tour Operators as well as for Shore Excursions.

I love sharing my passion for Kent's history, folklore and culture with people by offering Tours, Walks &amp; Talks of interest. Currently I am studying Genealogy in my spare time but I also enjoy playing the piano and the Accordion with East Kent Morris as well as walking our terrier, Clover.

Operation Dynamo was planned from the tunnels below Dover Castle, which you will visit on your tour. Dover Castle was also known as the Key to England and there is a lot of castle to see! 

The Battle of Britain was fought in the skies overhead and you will find out more about those involved at the Memorial in Capel-le-Ferne.

Walk on Samphire Hoe for a view of the White Cliffs of Dover and find out  more about how the Channel Tunnel was built in this lovely Nature Reserve. 

This is a lovely day out just a short distance to travel from your Cruise Ship.

Lying on the picturesque River Stour, a chalk river, Canterbury became a Royal City in the 6th Century and has attracted pilgrims 'to pay for sins or keep a promise' ever since.
