Hello, my name is Cheryl, I have a passion for, Food, Drink & History. I have grown up surrounded by the historic beauty of Norwich and Norfolk, developing a passion for its local produce along the way. So don't be surprised if you feed the eyes and more on my tours, especially in a city with 365 public houses, but don't worry there are also 52 churches. I love to show people Norwich's secret back alleys and hidden stories that I explored as a child. While my fondness for the Norman Castle stems from working there for over 8 years conducting tours in BSL and helping visitors research their family history. With my love of history and art, I am spoilt for choice, my beautiful county is the birthplace of Admiral Nelson. Its northern cliffs are nationally recognised for their geology, the salt marshes for their seasonal visitors and a highly regarded University of Arts. I enjoy meeting new people and I can adjust everything to suit travellers with disabilities making access a key to everyone's enjoyment of my historic city and the soft rolling hills of Norfolk While they're not yet, listed on ToursByLocals, I also offer bespoke military & family history tours. If you've seen the series "Masters of the Air" you'll know that Norwich & Norfolk became home to many US airbases. The area is now full of several museums that preserve this period of history & provide a warm welcome to returning personnel and their families.
