I have worked in tourism for more than 20 years, as a Ski host in Meribel in the French Alps, a tour guide in Normandy & Ypres in Belgium & I've lived and worked in Barcelona & been a Tour Manager on most major river cruises in Europe. By listening to the client or their travel agent from the beginning, I've found that if I suggest a tailor made tour around my own favourite places incorporating their own interests that this usually works extremely well. Many clients in the USA and in other places are taking DNA tests to look at Genealogy and many people passed through the Port of Liverpool and I am quite happy to do bespoke virtual tours in the UK, to look in churchyards villages, towns or hamlets where your great grandparents or ancestors lived, worked and went to school. Most of my work comes from repeat business, clients who often become friends come back and explore a new area of the UK with me, or send their friends and family. For multi day tours of the UK, I suggest 3 nights in each location and for multi-day tours I pick up from London Heathrow, Manchester or Edinburgh Airports. Important note : Please do not take tours in England in vehicles if they are not licensed (they will have plaque attached or in the car to prove that) & make sure that you check that any vehicle that you board is insured for "Hire & reward" or you more than likely will not be insured. The Blue Badge is the highest tour guiding qualification & I have been examined to level 5 by the Institute of Tourist Guiding & I am also a full member of the British Guild of Tourist Guides. Always use a qualified insured & licensed Guide. I am also a chauffeur & hold a European Public Service Vehicle Certificate of Professional Competence, which means I can work professionally & carry passengers in licensed vehicles from small 6 seater people carriers to large 53 seater Motor Coaches throughout the UK & Europe I have no guiding restrictions. I am a qualified Blue Badge Tourist Guide & licensed Driver/Guide. I operate luxury top end tours of the North of England & Wales. I have public liability insurance, I'm a First Aider & DBS cleared for working with children.
