Greetings from Scotland! I live in between Edinburgh and St Andrews and I don't mean in the middle of the North Sea. I am just fortunate to have bases in these two incredible cities. Born in Edinburgh I have worked there most of my life but I attended the University of St Andrews and have laid down roots there too, becoming a golf caddie, journalist and undertaking eat/walk tours. I had a restaurant in Edinburgh and am rather a bit of a foodie. This is a high priority on my tours. At least to point you in the direction of the best bars and restaurants. So I consider myself to be an Edinburgher and a St Andrean too. I am very lucky. I have rather eclectic interests and would love to show you around this wonderful part of Scotland and all that it has to offer. Its marvellous architecture and breathtaking scenery, its cobbled wynds and cosy bars, its links and cloisters, characters and cathedrals and castles. But let's be sure to have fun and walk and talk. Twenty years of experience of working in hospitality has taught me to have that as the cornerstone in running my tours. I have been a ski guide in the Alps, a golf instructor in Spain, a florist, a restaurateur, a golf writer (check out the kilted caddie blog!) and a somewhat caddie on the St Andrews Links. But now I have found my real forte. It's in entertaining people and showing them the places that I really know and love. So now, I look forward to meeting you all too. I hope! I have successfully created and run two tour companies. I have worked at the customer-end of hospitality most of my life. I have an honours degree from the University of St Andrews and managed to scrape into the golf team. I am not a driver. I undertake walking tours.
