A very warm welcome! Canterbury is the city I have lived in for 20 years, I have never stopped thinking how lucky I am to work in a place I love. Since then and many tours later, I have met people from all over the world with whom I have shared my delight in the South East of England and London. I live in the city of Canterbury, a medieval gem in itself, made famous by its cathedral, surrounded by beautiful countryside, charming villages and winding lanes which tempt people of a curious disposition to go off the beaten track and see what lies beyond. Nearby are the famous White Cliffs of Dover which welcomed some of our earliest visitors from overseas back in the Bronze Age and who left their boat behind, still to be seen today! Since then thousands have arrived at this point - both on business at the Eastern docks and for pleasure at the cruise terminal. Within easy travelling distance there are also stunning castles to visit, such as Dover, Walmer and Leeds, each with their own distinct character and stories to tell, forming part of our rich heritage. Combining the best of the South East with our great metropolis of London, I am qualified to guide you around the major sites, such as Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London and St Paul's Cathedral. I am fascinated with our capital's history, both in its buildings as well as the many characters from all walks of life who have contributed to its development. Rather like its great river, Old Father Thames, London never stops moving and evolving making it always an exciting place to visit. It has some of the best museums and art galleries of the world and it would be an honour for me to show you, for example, the highlights of the British Museum or the National Gallery.
