Hello everybody my name is Emi,

I was born and grew up in Izmir! Also stayed in Israel, London, Antalya , Marmaris and for a long time in Istanbul! I am a guide since 2000! 

I can say my dream from my childhood  and later my hobby became my lifetime work! I love to explore , share and appreciate history , different cultures, religious informations and cuisines. I know English and Hebrew and besides two different languages learning Spanish which I also knew a different version of it from the family called Old Spanish Jewish language " Ladino" ! I am also very specialized in Jewish Heritage and worked at the Jewish Festivals many times!  When we talk  about history , cuisine in Izmir or Aegean we basically observe  and also   will have opportunity to visit  Old Greek ,Archeic Greek, Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine,Jewish, Ottoman, Levantine , Republic of Turkey period!         

When you hire me you will feel all the ancient times as we walk as I talk as I show you around! I am not guiding only tours I am making you feel the place as it was how and why  it changed and what became  because of the impact  social, giography and economically changes by time! I am also very flexible , always smilling giving the best tour as my guests wish and need! I grew up in a large family with grandparents to nieces so I am very good with the concept of family , elderly people  and all kind of tours! I love food , love to search and share how it became and why its so popular or the behind the heritage story of it! I also made in the past "boyos" ( the most popular dough of İzmir) workshops with my Mother to the İzmir ladies.

"Agora" means the old shopping market in ancient greek times! We will be visiting outdoor part of the Agora which is one of the unique example  in the history. 

Izmir old name "Smyrna" has been the  crossroads since the ancient times! In the Late Ottoman times when Izmir became again important port city  then filled with the inns, shoes, textile, jewellery, food shops, homes, synagogues , restaurants, mosques, churches, fountains! 

This walking tour will be like travelling back in time with today's  colourful culture , stories , shops and streets. Kemeraltı market is the second biggest market in the world!
