(Nah not really) Born and raised in the beautiful city of Bursa, because its my hometown, I have a deep connection to the rich culture and history of this unique place, which makes it all the more special to me. Bursa, located in northwestern Turkey, has a rich and diverse history, having been inhabited or ruled by various civilizations throughout the centuries. The region was initially home to the Phrygians, followed by the Lydians, Persians,Macedonians, Seleucid Kingdom,Bithynian Kingdom, Romans ,Byzantine Empire, The Seljuk Turks and the Ottoman Empire, founded by Osman I, made Bursa its first capital in 1326. Bursa continued to play a crucial role as a center of trade, culture, and silk production. After the fall of the Ottoman Empire following World War I, Bursa became part of the modern Republic of Turkey in 1923, where it remains today as a thriving cultural and industrial hub.
