Guide #36808
Salut from Toulouse and Occitanie. I am an official licenced tour guide. I will really enjoy sharing with you the wonderful sightseeing and unknown treasures in my region. After a career in the tourism "industry" occupying many different roles as a tour operator, incoming travel agent, trip designer, commercial for groups. I decided recently to slow down and dedicate myself to the activity which makes me happy: be with people, share the places I love, drive and walk around the wonderful landscapes, connect the present to the past, the travelers to the locals. I propose to travelers to explore Toulouse as the main city of Occitanie but also to have day excursions around, into the very unexpected and real France. Even though Toulouse has become a great metropole considered the scientific center for Europeans projects as space, aeronautics, medical search, attracting students and smart brains from all over the world, it has also kept an authentic quality of life that make the reputation of France South West. The countryside surrounding has been for centuries quite protected from industrial development. Thanks to a chaotic relief made of deep valleys, mountains, highlands, even modern transportation avoided the area, living behind and somehow isolated the villages, peasants, culture, and traditions. We are very happy to have kept safe the natural state of our country , and we will be proud to share with you our gorgeous landscapes, visit al the atemporal villages that say so much of a rich history, to taste the famous good food of South West, walk, breath and contemplate the spectacle of nature. I believe the pleasure of traveling is to look after the beauty of the world and this can be found in the art, in the culture, in nature and through the meeting of the others. The important is to take the time to do so. I love photography, I love history, especially the medieval period and particularly the incredible XI, XII and XIII centuries that shook the region of Toulouse, and left around so many testimonies ( Abbaye, Castle, fortifications, manoirs). I also love the nature and the fragile harmony that rules the relationship between the land, the local men and women who work the ground and the animals. So we will be also talking about agriculture and biodiversity. And so many other topics I can't wait to talk to you about. TOUR GUIDE ENGLISH ITALIAN
