Hi everyone! My name is Gezim and I live in the capital of Albania, Tirana. I was born in the beautiful old town of Berat, where I grew up as a child. My little house faced the Castle of Berat, and since a child, I used to often walk up there and meet with foreign travelers. That was my first introduction to tourism and tourists. My family moved to Tirana, where I finished my studies in hotel & tourism management. I like the vibrant city life of the capital but I would definitely say that my favorite is the countryside. In my free time, I like being outdoors. Usually, I go hiking or cycling around Tirana with friends. Another passion of mine is reading modern classic books. I love showing travelers my beautiful city of Tirana. What makes my city unique is the lifestyle and its people?! Tirana is the heart of Albania, where all different cultures meet and coexist in peace. Another passion of mine is history, so I often guide in archeological sites that luckily we have some great ones in Albania. But I believe that a person should bond with a local experience more than visiting tourist destinations. It is when you create unforgettable memories that stay for too long in your mind. Albania is still an off-the-beaten destination that offers unique experiences to travelers. My country isn't spoiled by tourists yet, and everyone is treated as a house guest.
