Hello, my name is Belén. I am 100% Spanish but with a strong mixture within my country as my father was from de Basque Country and my mother from the Canary Islands. Two different worlds in a same country. Since I was little I always wanted to travel. Every time I looked up and saw an airplane in the sky I wondered where it would go and thought how lucky the passengers were. So I can see travelling would be one of my passions. Dancing is another one. Always wanted to be a dancer. But life has taken me elsewhere. The reason why I like working as a guide is because it is definitely another way of travelling. I travel each time I talk to a different person. Every time I see a place next to someone who is different from me and sees things differently from me. I travel every time I speak in a language different than mine and every time I listen a different language too. I love showing others things for the first time and moreover if they are places that they were longing to visit. I feel proud and happy of having the opportunity of sharing that special moment. Madrid is a very bubbly place. There is always action in the streets wherever you go. Day and night. Spanish people like the sun, they like to eat, to have fun. . . . let's say briefly . . . to enjoy life. Plus the city is full of history, art and entertainment. Madrid is filled with opportunities for culture, leisure and diverse experiences. The city centre is always awake and full of tourists enjoying their trips. You can hear all languages and I love that. You can just sit down and look at the people passing by. My wish is that all travelers accomplish the expectations they bring to my city. I want them to leave happy and fulfilled. Thinking that they made the right choice and that they have learnt while having a good time. I am always open to listen to your desires and customize your tours. I am certain that I will learn a lot from you too. Each of you is a challenge for me.
