I am Marc, a specialized guide in history, wines and gastronomy, but before I was a journalist for over ten years. I love learning history and telling stories. That is why I took and completed Journalism studies at Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona in 2001. I also had the happy chance to spend one year at the University of Florence, Italy, and at the University of Monterrey, Mexico. These experiences ignited my passion for travel, other cultures, and other flavors. 

 From that moment, I visited many countries and I finally found one small island that I immediately fell in love with — Gran Canaria. A small piece of land with a wide range of microclimates, unique autochthonous flora, breathtaking landscapes, an impressive history and heritage, high-end local products, and open-minded, friendly people. While I was working as a journalist in Gran Canaria, I became imbued with its history, culture, and food products. It was then I decided to apply for the Official Tourist Guide certificate, awarded by the Government of the Canary Islands. After getting the certificate in 2016, I started working for the most important tour operators, but I felt mass tours just couldn't offer the best personal experiences that I was willing to provide. So, it was during the pandemic that I had the time to stop, specialize in Gran Canaria wines, gastronomy, and local products (coffee, oil, salt, bananas, and cheese)… and I started offering my private tailor-made tours to the best hotels in Gran Canaria. Since then, dozens of couples and small groups have discovered the best of Gran Canaria through my customized private tours. I also work for journalists and local institutions like city councils.
