My name is Ana, and I was born and raised in the Basque Country, in the city of Bilbao. Although I have had my fair share of travel, I have always come back to my region, it has something that traps you! I studied Foreign Languages at University, something that I had always loved, and I planned to become a teacher. After doing my master's degree in education, I found myself looking for jobs before the next academic year started. And that is when my profession came across. The first time I guided a group I realized that this was really my calling. After all, I always dreamed about teaching and using different languages… What could be better than welcoming people to my region and teaching them about my history and my culture? That was back in 2016, and I have not stopped ever since. I have guided groups to several places around the Basque Country, including the Rioja region. During this time, I have never stopped studying and reading, and I have also recently finished my Certificate in Higher Education on Tourism. I love to keep myself updated! And of course, I have continued traveling, since this is the best way to open your mind and enrich your life. I would love to have the opportunity to show you around, getting you to know all the hidden spots, the true gems of the region, and the rich culture and traditions that we have in the Basque Country. As well as the gastronomy, of course! Beautiful landscapes, mountains that end abruptly on the sea, architecture, culture, and history everywhere you look… What's not to love? I offer fixed tours in English and Spanish (and Basque, in case you want to try), but also tailor-made tours, so that you can get everything you are looking for in your stay here.
