Even when I'm the one doing most of the talking during tours obviously, I still find that each one gives me a new story. A drama teacher once told me that there's always something interesting in every person, and I've found that to be true. After my tours, I usually end up learning something new from my guests. I love this job because it provides a genuine human connection - we have conversations, share meals, and laugh. I was offered this job in 2016 when gastronomic tours became popular, likely due to the influence of late Anthony Bourdain. A friend suggested I give it a try since I already enjoyed eating and drinking out. Starting this job got me hooked on history, urban design, architecture, and meeting people from diverse backgrounds. I've encountered individuals from all over the world with various political and religious beliefs and it is a rewarding experience. All this led me back to university where I study history to further enriching my knowledge.
