I've been a history teacher and then I worked some 10 years in television as a documentary producer and news reporter. Being a tour guide sums up everything I know and gives me the chance to use all my previous experience! Picture perfect places and great stories are my things!
I am constantly curious about everything around me and that makes me sometimes hard to bear for family members as well. . . of course, I wanna tell everyone all the new things I discover! But that's ok when I do my job as a tour guide, isn't it?
Actually, I don't see this as a job! It's my life and I live it fully conscious! And I enjoy It! Come and meet me and I will show you how it goes! It's not a recipe, it might work for some and less for others, but anyway, we will have lots of fun on the way! Tour on! :)

I am a licenced guide according to European and Romanian legislation.
I have a University diploma in history and a Master diploma in Romanian Communism. (not a communist though)

Tour on the oldest electrical train in Eastern Europe!

With my colegue and friend Roberta Rosa learning for a new tour on the streets of Cluj, Transilvania, Romania!

A half-day visit to Satchinez. Includes a visit to the cemetery and the local church. Optional: visit the Schvab heritage museum in Biled.

The tour is a chronological one. The path we take follows historical events starting with the Mongol invasion (1241) and ending in contemporary times with the revolution against the communist regime (1989). Starting in the mid-16th century, for 164 years, Timișoara was a Turkish city. We'll visit the sites of the hammam (Turkish public bath), bazaar (marketplace), Central Mosque, and cemetery. At the beginning of the 18th century, Austrian imperial troops led by Prince Eugene of Savoy conquered the place, and everything changed after that.
In 1989, the world was changing again. Romania didn't seem to follow this course until the 16th of December, when, in Timisoara, the first person had the guts to cry "Down with Communism. " A few days later, on the 20th of December, Timisoara was proclaimed the first city in Romania free of communism.

The Classic tour of Timisoara

We will enter Transylvania the same way the Romans legions did more than 2000 years ago, through Tapae - also called the iron gates of Transylvania. I always feel the emotion of my guest as we go trough this places. Only a few kilometers away we will stop to visit Ulpia Traiana Sarmisegetusa, the ancient roman city, the first capital of the Roman province Dacia.

Further east towards Densus we will see probably the oldest church still standing on Romanian soil. As Then we will stop in Hunedoara to see the famous Corvin Castle, a masterpiece of 15th-century gothic architecture, listed among the most visited sites in Romania.

On the way back I'll take you to see the Deva citadel, the one that guarded for more than 500 years the entrance to Transylvania on the Mures Valley. This is probably my favorite ending for a day tour, as we will enjoy the fairytale view from the walls of the fortress towards sunset, where we will be heading, heroes for another day!
