Born and raised in Bucharest, I've been a tour designer and tailored experience facilitator for 20+ years in Romania.

We will be touching the most important spots and the less obvious: the old center with bustling life and auberges, turn of the century palaces, squares and gardens, cemeteries and communist decay. I can take you from late medieval to the recent history of my hometown, explain the architectural landscape and familiarize you with the local habits and cuisine.

Immerse yourself in Bucharest, "the little Paris of the East" on a City Tour with Locals

A tour designed especially to familiarize you with the contexts of the establishment and evolution of the Romanian Communist regime. Depending on the drop off point we will touch several key spots:  University square &amp; the violent night that changed Romania and its destiny. See the original graffiti. Revolution Square &amp; memorial plus the crucial moments of December '89. The Central Committee of the party. Here you find out about the years of dictatorship, from the Soviet occupation to the disaster that ended it, the main characters and the causes for revolt. Pass by the Congress hall; on to the Parliament and the amazing story of its building, with the the Utopian administrative center of 1980s; outside view of the Parliament Palace.

Tour of the Ceausescu residence with museum guide and a one hour private tour with me @ Village museum in the north of Bucharest. On the way in we can admire the Triumphal Arch and its many historic details . On to Brasov late afternoon, lunch stop @ a time of your choice.
