Bom dia and welcome to Portugal. My name is José and I am a licensed guide from Lisbon, born and raised here. From a very young age I developed a taste for travel, which led me to a degree in tourism and to work on board cruise ships in the shore excursion department, which allowed me to visit more than 60 countries around the world. In 2013 I decided to become a full time local tour guide. As a licensed tour guide, with knowledge of Portuguese Culture, Art, History, Gastronomy, Music and Nature, I have access to all monuments, including UNESCO World Heritage Sites. I love my job, my hometown Lisbon and my country, Portugal. It is always a pleasure to share my knowledge of my country and my hometown with visitors coming from all around the world. My main hobbies are hiking and surfing, so we may always include a hike in a natural park or surfing in one of many excelent surf spots along our coast. If you don't bring your board we may always rent one for you. My tours and experiences are tailored to your individual interests - they are as unique as you are - offering you the opportunity to feel and experience Portugal in an authentic way. As a licensed national tour guide, I can guide you not only in Lisbon, but throughout the entire portuguese territory, just point on the map where you would like to go… I love showing Portugal, its culture and natural beauty in an authentic and passionate way, with the focus on sustainability and the preservation of local customs and habitats. For this reason, my offer of services is designed taking into account the respect and support for local cultures and the conservation of the environment and nature. And this is why I use na electric van on my day trips. Come and discover an unexpected Lisbon, through breathtaking viewpoints, monuments and medieval streets, full of hidden treasures. And of course there is always time for a codfish cake or a "pastel de nata" along the the way. - I am an Official Licensed National Tourist Guide, with nr. 4719 By SNATTI (Which allows me to guide inside all monuments in Portugal) - Degree in Tourism Information, at ISLA, Lisbon - Postgraduate Degree in Tour Guiding, at INP, Lisbon - I own a licensed company with all insurances required and registered at the national tourism board: RNAAT: 261/2019 - Safe & Clean certification provided by Tourism of Portugal board I do have no restrictions. As a National Official Tour guide I may give tours all over Portugal and inside all monuments. I am also certified to conduct Tours in Spain. On my day trips near Lisbon I drive an eight seat electric van.
