Tour guide in Oslo Jan O.

Hello. Having worked in tourism and with tour guiding for 15 years in the fjords of Norway, I became a licensed Oslo-guide in 1997 and have been guiding here since. After guiding for 30+ years for all kinds of visitors, I feel confident that I know what makes the difference between a good tour, and a great tour. Personally, I also think that has to do with the pace of the passing scenery, and therefore I love doing walking tours in Oslo. The rather tiny city centre is perfect for a walking tour. Oslo is a city of huge contrasts, and on a tour with me, you will enjoy both the vibrancy of the modern city and historical sights and atmospheres. Oslo is a lovely city that has a lot to offer, and outside the city centre sights and attractions are found also. It is difficult to name a single favourite, but I would love to take you on a tour of the Vigeland Sculpture Park, or to one or more of the museums and galleries. They are easily reached by public transportation, or I can arrange for hiring a private car, though I am due to national regulations not allowed to drive with passengers myself. In short: The choice is yours, but I would be happy to help you make the difficult decisions, once I get to know a little bit about what your interests are. However, as winter season has less guiding, I then enjoy giving freelance lectures in my other major field of interest: Literature. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.
