Guide #27701
Hello, I'm Jenny! Since 2014 I've guided hundreds of private tours and trips in Nashville and around Tennessee for thousands of happy travelers from around the world. And I've enjoyed every minute of it! I specialize in private upscale tours and trips with luxury transportation. I love Nashville, I love Tennessee, and I love the people I meet and the places we go! I've got a gorgeous black tour van named Elvira. She seats up to 14 guests and is great for sightseeing and road trips. We get around in style! Nashville, long known as the Athens of the South, has so much colorful history, the music aspect, but much more. It's exciting to dive deep and go wide, opening the eyes of people who venture our way. Like most, you'll probably find that there are many layers to Music City, USA you never expected. And then there's the rest of Tennessee. Big cities like Memphis, country villages like Leiper's Fork, and hidden gems everywhere. That's what I love about living here. And that's why I love doing what I do. Sharing it with other folks is the best thing of all! I'm a girl who grew up in Oklahoma, I didn't choose Nashville, it chose me. With its songwriting scene, live music venues, creative types, creative energy, historic buildings, hip casual culture, fun happenings, and tranquil scenery, how could I resist? I've traveled all over the US, played music all over Europe, have hosted foreign guests and exchange students, and had a lively time raising four kids here. To me, there's no place more fun than Nashville. And it's home. You could say I've got a quirky resume. I've been a bartender, a public school teacher, a touring performing songwriter, a paint stripper, a back-up keyboard player, a waitress, an antiques dealer, a portrait artist, a tv show extra, a house painter, and a session vocalist. That's most of it. I even taught a Nashville Music History course to international students for CUNY. How lucky is that? (Don't even ask about my appearances on a live Nashville improv comedy songwriting show haha. ) Have I mentioned I love being a tour guide? I don't just take you someplace. I make sure you experience it (see it, hear it, taste it, feel it, you'll probably smell it too. . . and hopefully it smells good lol. ) And I make sure everything is fun, smooth, efficient, relaxing, informational, and worth your while! Plus, you're just like a friend coming to visit from out of town. So wherever we go, we're definitely going to have a blast! Come see me, and let's roll! OFF THE JOB When I'm not spending time with my guests, I love getting in one of my kayaks for a little flat-water fun. There are some beautiful rivers in middle Tennessee, and I'm always up for trying new spots. There's lots of great hiking nearby too, and some beautiful waterfalls and swimming holes that are worth the drive! I also love taking day trips and overnight trips around the area. It's fun to discover small towns, restaurants, museums, caves, historic sites, wineries, breweries, distilleries, you get the gist! I'm a 'field trip' kind of gal, probably because of my teaching background. I like to relax a little, but I really like to learn a lot. So I'm always out and about finding new things to enjoy and share with my guests (or with my kids and grandkids). And then there's Nashville. Have I mentioned that it's fun? I'm pretty sure I live in the most fun place on the planet! I'm either reading books or watching documentaries about Nashville or Tennessee or historical figures or famous people who lived here, or I'm on the go all over town. I have a running to do list just to try and keep up with all the new stuff. We're growing by leaps and bounds, and there's no shortage of cool and creative new spots to check out. Not to mention music. It's every night, it's everywhere, and it's awesome!
