Guide #72774
Hi and welcome to Mexico! My name is Rolando, I'm originally from Puerto Vallarta (the place I love with my heart), and I'm also married with 2 kids. I enjoy being a tour guide because first of all I love to travel and meet new people and of course, I'm so proud to show the place where I live and my entire country as a tourist ambassador. I have met many people, and have made some good friends. In my free time, I like to play all kinds of sports but prefer is Football and soccer. Other things that I like to do are watch movies, hike, read books, play with my kids, and hang out with friends and family. I have been an official tour guide in Mexico since 2007 when I finished the mandatory course. I studied Tourist Business Administration at the University of Guadalajara, and started working in hotels and tourist companies. However when I was young I wanted always to be a tour guide since I worked in a handicraft store, and I saw all the tour guides at that time passing by. Since then I have always thought of becoming a tour guide. After some years finally I decided to leave the work in hotels and start my studies to be a tour guide. One of my favorite tours in Puerto Vallarta is a hiking tour along the shore. We start the tour in the little town of Boca de Tomatlan (south of Puerto Vallarta) and we walk around to the beautiful beach of Las Animas (located south of Banderas Bay) during the hiking we pass through clean and stunning beaches! We need to have a little bit of good physical condition to do it in less than 2 hours. Of course we can swim in every single beach that we find on our way! As I mentioned before I have almost 20 years of experience guiding. Puerto Vallarta is a city that I love to guide in because we find lots of things to see and do. From a city/walking tour through the Malecon/city center/old town to a snorkeling tour around "the arches" or visiting the predator movie set "El Eden" making stops to eat in a taco place or a nice restaurant. What travelers love about Puerto Vallarta is: the very good food that we have, the beautiful nature of the Sierra de Vallejo that passes along the bay, the friendship of the people who live in this paradise and of course the magic of the little Mexican town with cobblestone streets which make it unique in the whole country. Now if you are looking to experience a city full of history, culture, good food, tequila, and many other things I can take you to the beautiful city of Guadalajara (Capital of Jalisco state) which is about 3 hours and 30 minutes away from Puerto Vallarta with the new highway built. I hope to be the instrument for my travelers to experience the most qualitative time during their visit to Mexico. I try to be empathetic in my tours because that is the way to give what the client desires. Flexibility is also a good thing so to modify or customize a tour just for you. That is why I invite you to book a tour with me! We can do one of the many designed tours that I have or we can customize a tour that you have in mind. I'm pretty open to having a unique experience once you visit our beautiful Puerto Vallarta and surroundings. Hope to see you all soon in Puerto Vallarta.
