I  grew  up in Oaxaca and have lived here most of my life.

In between I had the opportunity  to study economics  and languages.  Staying for 4 years outside Mexico gave me a new view from my country and a greater understanding and appreciation of the cultural richness of Mexico.

I do enjoy sharing this knowledge with visitors and like to encourage conversation, and answer questions any one has about Mexico's history and actual life.

I do believe that conveying accurate information to my guests is a very important factor to appreciate my land.

 I am used to design and perform personal or private tours.
My tours are flexible in duration and places visited. They can be adapted to meet your own personal needs or particular interest.

My tours include transportation and since I am a fully licensed and registered guide, I have been granted a Permission for Tourism Transportation in Federal Highways issued by Mexico's Federal Government.

The places included in this tour, are situated in the west and south part of the Valley.

 The first workshops to visit are in Atzompa where terracotas and artistic ceramics are made

Then we will visit Coyotepec is famous for the elaboration of black ceramic in way that are tracked down to the beginning of Monte Alban. The technology is very simple, the dexterity extraordinary!

Finally, Tilcajete is now the leading locality for the production of fantastic wooden sculptures generally known as "Alebrijes", generally decorated with bright colors

This takes you to a beautiful, natural and stunning landscapes, just an memorable experience of the this incredible site.

The geological formation of the Petrified Waterfalls of Hierve el Agua (Boiling water) Area surrounded by an extraordinary beautiful landscape where we do a light hiking around the site and you can swim in the pools, if you wish.

Then we will visit the 'Stone Lace' decorated Mixtec palaces of Mitla, and finally we will go to Teotitlán del Valle, where wool woven carpets and rugs are made. This is the most successful and appreciated handicraft from Oaxaca.

Finally we will see a wonder of nature: The Millennial tree of El Tule with the largest trunk in the world

Hierve el Agua, Mitla and Teotitlan

In many ways we can say that the contemporaneous city of Oaxaca is the continuation of the old city of Monte Alban.  

The old city was in its time, the Sacred city of the Zapotecs one was located just in the nearby complex of hills to the west of the contemporaneous city. It is located at the top of the highest hill and enjoys a majestic setting and a magnificent monumental architecture. The visit of this place is a ‘must’ for everyone interested in culture and history.  

The contemporaneous Oaxaca city has preserved its colonial time characteristics, a joyful ambiance and many magnificent buildings of the past centuries. It is a real pleasure to stroll around and enjoy the colorful houses and beautiful churches and the old-style market.
