Hello, excited travelers! My name is Daniel, but my friends call me Danny - and that’s how I would love you to call me as well. Tour guide is not only my job, but also my passion, and I want everyone on my tour to feel like they are traveling with their best buddy! First, let me tell you a little about myself. If you decide to join me on a tour, I’d love for you to share something about yourself too. The most important thing for me is getting to know you so I can provide you with an unforgettable experience during your adventure around Yucatán. I was born in Mexico City, but I have been living in Yucatán for over 20 years, which is slightly more than half of my life (guess how old I am!). 🙂 I have always loved traveling and meeting new people and their cultures. I spent some time living in Europe and the US and have worked in various tourism areas for over 15 years. However, something always calls me back to Yucatán. It’s a culturally and naturally rich part of the world that can help you appreciate things you may not have considered before. I have a partner who is originally from the Czech Republic but decided to move to Yucatán. She never liked spicy food, but Yucatán taught her to enjoy it. She wasn’t particularly fond of birds, but after seeing flamingos in Celestún, she returned every time with the same excitement as when she saw them for the first time. History classes were not her cup of tea (she got a D once in a history subject in high school), but she can pay close attention when I talk about the Mayans. I’d love for you to experience that same excitement (maybe except for the spicy food if you’re not a fan because that’s a long journey). 🙂 I love nature, so I like to combine my tours with beautiful outdoor locations, especially cenotes. However, as I mentioned initially, the most important thing for me is getting to know you and what you truly enjoy. If you’re a cultural enthusiast, we can easily spend the whole day exploring Ruta Puuc or wandering around Chichen Itza and Ek Balam. I will be happy to modify and offer a completely customized itinerary so you can make the most of your upcoming holiday!
