Tour guide in Kuala Lumpur Roslan M.

I am a Malaysian tourist guide, licensed by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture with proficiency in English. I have been in this line of profession since October 2017. My areas of interest are the city, overland and walking tours. During the cruise season from November to March, I will normally be quite active in carrying out shore excursions involving guests (travellers) of more than a dozen cruise companies. Hospitality industry was my first choice of study way back in 1980, graduating with a Diploma in Tourism Administration from a local university (UiTM Shah Alam, Selangor) in 1984. However, I was offered to pursue my studies in the United States, thereafter graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (University of Tennessee) in 1986 and an MBA (University of Baltimore) in 1988. Upon completion of my overseas studies, I ventured into finance and later the stock market before I decided to join the travel business as a tourist guide. I realize that this is actually the right calling for me, as I always look forward to the next tour assignments. And I strongly believe that this a good sign for me to carry on sharing with my guests by becoming their personal storyteller.
