I am Nitto, a Liberian national birthed and raised in Liberia. I am very familiar with all of the exciting parts of Liberia and most especially its capital Monrovia.

The culture and history of Liberia are things I very well know and I am capable of taking others along this exciting journey of knowing and experiencing this land to the fullest as described.

If one is trying to answer some of life's questions pertaining to social and cultural anthropology, Monrovia is one place in Africa where some answers are vividly seen and experienced. I'm speaking of the cultural diversities, social changes and geographical attributes.

I am a University Graduate with a bachelor's degree in public administration and I communicate in two Languages (English and German) quite fluently.

Traveling out of Liberia gives me an edge into finding out more about a traveler's attraction and based on that I can be your best guide even though it is my first official experience working as such.

Providence Island is and remains the oldest location for Slave trade in West Africa. After the abolitionists rose up against slave trade in America, the first place that came to mind for repatriation of free slaves from the Americas was the Green Coast. The place we today know as Liberia.

The pioneers landed in 1822 on the Providence Island where the nation Liberia was founded and later constituted in 1847 at the Providence Baptist Church in Monrovia, Liberia.
The national museum is also an attractive point on this tour for an in-depth understanding of the Liberian History and culture.

Monrovia highlights and history - half day tour

As it is internationally well known, Liberia lies along the coast of West Africa and this has given the country an infinite amount of beaches and sea shores.

In Monrovia, the beaches are nice places to be for relaxation and fun time. When one historically hears of the Green Coast, these beaches are all make up for the term "Green Coast" or Liberia. Personally, I go on the beach sometimes just to cool off and relax, and every time, I can breath a new atmosphere with fresh breeze from the ocean.
Let me bring you there to share this beautiful experience with the nature!

You can choose to visit open beaches where there are locals, or you may want to see how some beach areas are organised to entertain their guests. Just let me know and I will arrange the best day for you.

With this tour I offer a round-town tour within the city of Monrovia to help you get the taste of Liberia's traditional dishes and drinks.

As a home grown, I will be touring you through the food of Liberia and giving tips on some of the nutritional benefits and from the variety of drinks, there will be something available for you.

There will be some funny and interesting experiences, be set and ready to learn some Liberian colloquial slangs that are useful for getting your way around the city and interacting with locals. Also be prepared to learn a few new things and how to take precautions in case of minor misunderstandings.
