Hello, my name is Haiyan. I was born in Shanghai, China, and grew up in Tokyo, which I now consider my second home. Tokyo’s cleanliness, orderliness, and charm have always inspired me to share it with travelers from around the world. Since high school, I’ve had a passion for exploring—once traveling solo all the way from Hokkaido to Okinawa. Though I only joined this platform at the end of last year, I have over 10 years of experience as a professional tour guide in Japan. I previously worked with a well-known travel agency, Kamome, leading both large group tours and high-end customized tours. 　　I am very familiar with major destinations such as Tokyo, Mt. Fuji, Kyoto, and Osaka, and I specialize in creating flexible, personalized itineraries based on my guests’ needs. I offer services in English, Chinese, and Japanese, and I am committed to providing a warm, memorable travel experience for every guest visiting Japan. I’ve also lived in California for two years and visited many cities in the U.S., including New York, Las Vegas, and San Diego, as well as parts of Canada. This year, I plan to travel to Australia. These experiences have deepened my understanding of cultural differences and made me truly appreciate the kindness and openness of people across the globe. I love hiking, gardening, and spending time with my dog, Xiao Hei—my loyal little companion. For first-time visitors to Japan, there might be a few surprises along the way. For example, many shops still only accept cash and don’t take credit cards. When visiting shrines and temples, it’s customary to offer a 5-yen coin for good luck. Train lines are color-coded, but a ticket for one line often doesn’t work on others. And in huge stations like Shinjuku or Tokyo, even locals sometimes get lost!
