Ciao a tutti!! Hi everyone!! Thanks for visiting my profile!! Probably you are going to visit Italy. . . and I take this opportunity to wish you an awesome vacation in my amazing country! First of all, let me introduce myself: my name is Cosimo and I was born and grew up in the south of Italy, in the region Apulia, and, more specifically, in the cultural subregion known as Salento, the wonderful stiletto heel of the Italian peninsula. When I was 18 years old I moved to Bologna and, in the year 2002, I graduated from the University of Bologna in Translation and Conference Interpreting for English, Spanish and Italian. Since then I started working as a translator and consecutive and simultaneous conference interpreter, moving to Rome in the year 2002. Currently, I also work as a teacher of English and Spanish language. In 2005 I was hired at the Christian Catacombs, the Holy See, as an official guide, and later on I started working as an official guide in St. Peter's Basilica, Vatican State, where I guided hundreds and hundreds of people, coming from any corner of our planet and with any sort of cultural background. Meanwhile, I also got the official license of tour leader, thus giving food tours in the historical center of the city of Rome and leading groups to different Italian regions and cities like Tuscany, Naples, Pompeii, Amalfi, etc. Over the 18 years I have been working in tourism industry, my goal has always been revealing what we call "italianità" (Italian spirit and identity) to my international guests, not only through history but also cultural aspects including food, wines, language and our traditions. As a matter of fact, I am firmly confident that Italy is not just what ruins and monuments can teach everyone but also what we are today. This is the spirit of my tours! Therefore I could state that my tours are not just itineraries through my country but, above all, cultural experiences at the end of which you will feel a little bit Italian in your brains, and mostly in your hearts! You will find out and "touch" Italian identity and you will understand how passionate and friendly we can be when we welcome someone into our home. That is all for now. . . I thank you very much indeed for taking the time to read through the lines of my past and present life. . . and I hope to meet you in person very very soon!! Grazie moltissime, thank you so much!! - Official licensed Tour Leader; - Professional translator and simultaneous and consecutive conference interpreter for English, Spanish and Italian; -Teacher of English language and Spanish language and culture. -I am not a driver but I can arrange transportation upon request -I am not a licensed guide and I will not be able to explain inside historical monuments.
