I was born in Syracuse, and despite travelling extensively, I’ve chosen to live here in the place I love. For over 25 years, I have worked as a licensed historical tour guide in Syracuse, Messina, Taormina, Ragusa, and their surrounding areas, speaking English, Russian, and Italian. My passion for Sicily’s rich history, mythology, and culture drives my work. People often describe me as friendly, dynamic, and passionate, qualities that help me convey the deep love I feel for my island. My tours go beyond the facts—they bring the ancient world to life, allowing guests to visualize the past and feel as if they’ve stepped into a time machine. I use images and reconstructions to help them imagine how these sites looked in their original splendour. I’ve always been drawn to languages. As a child, I developed a love for English, and later, I became the only Sicilian guide to pass the exam in Russian. Today, I mostly work in English and Italian, sharing not only my knowledge but the warmth, competence, and cordiality that are at the heart of Sicilian hospitality. In addition to classic tours, I offer unique experiences like evening tours, food and wine tastings, and sunset boat tours with aperitifs. I enjoy taking visitors off the beaten path, to places not covered in guidebooks, creating a sense of surprise that is always appreciated. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is seeing how my words touch my guests. Many have told me that they were moved by my storytelling, especially when we visit sites like the Greek Theatre in Syracuse, where emotions often run high.
