Welcome to Ireland, I can't wait to show you what I believe is special and unique about my country. I am a qualified Failte Ireland National Tour Guide and hold a BA (Hons. ) Degree in History and Heritage Studies. I can trace my Galwegian roots back to 1776, to the Aran Islands and I can assist you trace your Irish roots if required. Throughout my life, I have travelled extensively around the world and realised the value of a good guide in bringing a place alive. I resolved back then to become a professional guide one day and show visitors the places I feel are unique and special to my country. I was born in a Gaelic speaking area and would love to share a few words with you and share my passion for Ireland's history and folklore. I look forward to showing you around the west of Ireland and the town I call home, Galway. With my knowledge and expertise I can create a special bespoke tour for you that will help you get the most from your valuable time off. All my tours are highly customisable, so whether its a visit to Cliffs of Moher, Connemara or The Aran Islands, a detour to something different like seashore foraging; an oyster farm; a cookery school on an enchanted island; artisan weavers or a local independent whiskey distillery, it can always be accommodated. I hold a BA (Frist Class Honours) Degree in History and Heritage Studies and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, achieving a Distinction in my Level 9 Postgraduate Degree. I am a fully accredited Failte Ireland Tour Guide and have been offering guided tours since 2012. I have full public liability insurance and hold a SPSV and D1 drivers license. I was honoured to serve as former Chairperson of the Galway Tour Guides Association and I'm a current member of ATGI, The Association of Tour Guides of Ireland.
