I am Luis G. It will be a pleasure to be your guide here in Guatemala. I have been traveling around Guatemala since I was a kid. I studied tourism at the university and worked as a receptionist. Now I am a certified tour guide, currently living in La Antigua Guatemala. My passion for my country's culture and history started when I was 9 years old. My family and I travel twice a year to new places in Guatemala. Nowadays, I have been to all 22 Departamentos (States/Provinces) of my country, and I continue to explore new places on trips. In 2016, I began a tourism degree at San Carlos de Guatemala University. While studying, in 2018, I started working at a hostel's reception. It was my first job focused on tourism. The guests would often ask for a tour guide, and since I was studying tourism, I started giving tours to the guests. However, I wasn't certified at that time. In 2019, throughout the entire year, I took the certified guide course. In 2020, I obtained my certification and began delivering more tours. In 2021, I completed my university studies. Starting in 2022, I have been working as a full-time tour guide. In my free time, I enjoy swimming, salsa dancing, and camping. I enjoy sharing the culture and history of my country that I have experienced and learned during the trips I have taken and the information I have studied. I currently live in La Antigua Guatemala, Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. With the experience and knowledge I have gained, I am capable of arranging a unique and unforgettable tour around Guatemala for you.
