I am an Italian art historian Parisian at heart and a licensed tour guide in France. I fell in love with Paris a long time ago, when I visited this incredible city for the first time. When I moved here I decided to learn everything about its history, culture, art but also legends, traditions, food, lifestyle, boutiques. . . I read all the books I could; I visited every single museum, art collection, monument and historical place I could, including the closed ones (good guides always have great connection); I walked along (almost) every street, garden, square and I consumed some many shoes you cannot even image. I ended up being a French licensed tour guide, a professional personal shopper in Paris and I am still learning! I make new discoveries every day and I love sharing my knowledge with travelers who are curious to learn something more than what you can read in tourists' books.

In my tour, I love making the past lives again, following unusual paths even in the most touristic areas and letting you experience the authentic Paris, feeling like local. I like the idea of a sustainable tourism, even in a city like Paris. If you like walking around, let's take it slow and enjoy the city and its secrets addresses. . . I have a strong historical and artistic background (graduated with honours in History of Art in Venice, Italy) and I've been working in tourism for more than 9 years. I have 3 different tour guide licenses, including the official French Tour Guide License (Carte Professionelle de Guide Conferencier n. 1475034P) so I can guide you in all French museums and monuments, providing a Skip-the-line service for almost all of them.
I am not a driver but I can arrange for you private transfers with fully licensed and professionally insured drivers in Paris and outside the city (day excursions to Versailles, Loire Castles, Chartres. . . ).
I've been working with schools for years (and I have 2 children) so I know what you are looking for if you are travelling with kids.

We will admire all the most famous masterpieces, including the Venus de Milo, the Winged Victory of Samothrace, Mona Lisa, paintings by David and Delacroix, Michelangelo's sculptures and many others. . . and I will share with you my knowledge about art history and plenty of anecdotes about the artists' lives.

Wandering around the museum you will also have the chance to learn the history of the building and its art collection and at the end of the tour you will have the opportunity to stay in the Museum longer to visit the other galleries at your own pace!

Louvre with an Art Historian Private Tour

This is a unique opportunity to discover the most famous Louvre's masterpieces and hidden gems directly from your home.

Using live video conferencing software I will personally deliver a virtual tour of the Louvre Museum using digital resources; sharing photos and images of its highlights, showing you lesser known but amazing works of art and explaining everything about the evolution of Western Art from ancient Greece to 19th Century France.

We will discover together ancient sculptures, medieval paintings, Leonardo da Vinci's works of art and the famous "Liberty leading the Parisian by Delacroix".

We will focus on few works of art and . . . expect me to ask you to participate in the experience! Our motto will be "is it real"?
