Bonjour! My name is Marie, I'm a young travel guide born and raised in the Rhône Valley. I graduated with a Master's in Heritage Studies and worked on the valorization of archeological remains at a university in Paris. Since then, I started to work as a travel guide. I came back to Avignon to rediscover the place where I was born and worked in the famous abbey of Sénanque in the Lubéron, built during the 12th century. This experience was life-changing and put me on track for cultural exchanges. I like to travel during my leisure time, I'm very flexible and easygoing. I'm passionate about old stones and architecture from antiquity and medieval times. I will share my knowledge about the secrets of the old stone of Avignon, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence and the stunning villages in the Regional Park of the Lubéron's mountain. I love to wander in ancient cities and bring them then back to life. I love the region where I grew up, especially for the colors, the beautiful diversity of trees, flowers and birds. The vineyard was my playground in my childhood. First, I learned how to make wine by watching the winemakers when I was a kid. I then helped winemakers in their cellars and shared experiences with the sommeliers during the Wine Festival. I love to share the specificities of this region through the delicacies produced here, from wine, to honey and truffles. My goal is to make your travel in Provence a sensitive experience so that all your senses will be stimulated. Come to Châteauneuf-de-Pape, or at the foot of the laces of Montmirail, and enjoy the view with an exquisite glass of wine. Also, this region has attracted a lot of artists, painters and photographers. There are several reasons why they came here and stayed for several years. Vincent Van Gogh, Dora Maar, Paul Cézanne, Marc Chagall, Victor Vasarely are among those who caught the atmosphere of this sunny and dry land. Thanks to working with small groups, the plan of the day can be eventually adapted to something that suits you perfectly, like if you have any other stop not mentioned in the tour that we are passing by, or if you prefer to walk less or more. I hope to meet you soon! Marie Guide Conférencière Card Master's Degree in Heritage Studies Experience working in Archaeological Valorization at Parisian University None.
