Tour guide in Ivalo Köpi

Hei ja Tervetuloa ("Hi and Welcome" in Finnish). My name is Köpi and I live in the heart of Lapland in Ivalo. I have been working with people and in tourism since I have been 17 years old and loved every bit of it. Originally from Hungary, I lived for several years in England, Scotland, and Germany, went to a French school, and finally fell in love with Finland and settled down here. I love Finland and I love Lapland and nature and I can't wait to show you around this magical place that has something special to offer in every season of the year. I am very interested in anything that has to do with outdoors: hiking, skiing, biking, trekking, kayaking, canoeing, snowmobiling, orienteering, gathering berries and mushrooms, fishing and I am also an avid chef and photographer. In the past 9 years I have been working in the Ivalo - Inari -Saariselkä area as a local guide and later as a head guide for one of the major excursion companies in the Winter seasons and as a Tour Leader all over the Nordic Countries (Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland) from Spring to Autumn. I have worked with individual clients (TV and Film Crews, diplomats, and VIPs) and groups of up to 40 people mostly from the US, Canada, and Australia, but also from the UK, France, and Germany, and so on. Because of these experiences and as a long time ex-pat, I have the perspective of a local, but also that of the traveler which I believe adds to the completeness of my guiding capabilities. My personality, interests, enthusiasm, and passion show in my work. I combine professional service with a personal touch delivering tours to visitors from all over the world, spanning all walks of life, all backgrounds, and all interests - including somebody such as yourself! My goal is for you to end the tour and your visit in Finland with a big smile and nice memories. I feel confident that I know what makes the difference between a good tour, and an excellent tour.
