My name is Tewodros, I was born in 1980 in the small town of Lalibela.
I grow up there for three years then my family moved to the big town of Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia or I can say the capital city of Africa for job access because we are the seat of African union. I have been working as a tour guide since 2003 all over Ethiopia

I have attended the school and finished my high school level. Before to proceed to my college or university I had to find a job to cover my school fee. So I have been working and studying at the same time. I worked in the day time and studied in the night time. I worked at the post office communicating with different people from all over the world, which gave me the chance to improve my language skills, talking in French and English.

I graduated in the field of tour operators and guiding from Lion Ethiopia Tourism and Hotel College. I continued my university studies in Personnel management at the Alpha university for four years, as well as French language at Alliance Etho Francis for two years and half.

As I mentioned above, I have been working as a tour guide more than 15 years and gained experience in the tourism sector. Currently, I am working as freelance tour guide with different local and international companies, speaking both French and English. I am also a member of the tour guide association, actively participating on development of occupation standard and assessment for culture and hotel tourism sector.

I am happy to work with people coming from different parts of the world introducing and promoting my country, Ethiopia. We have multi diversity, cultural tribes with more than 80 local languages spoken. Each tribe has its own dressing and hair styles.

We have cultural, historical, natural sites, adventure tours can be offered too because my country is rich in history and all the listed above. Ethiopia is also the land of the origins. The first human kind discovered place is Ethiopia, her name is Luce, 3. 2 million years old. We have other historical sites like Axum stale compound the stales, 4 century after the birth of Jesus Christ and the merry church where the original Arc of covenant is.
In addition, we have lakes in the north and south part of Ethiopia with different species of birds, hippopotamus, crocodiles, etc.
Our tourism motto was "13 months of sun shine" which means there is a sun even if in the winter time. Now it has been changed into "The land of origins" because we are the land of the first human kind. So there are many things to visit and see! I look forward to meet you here!

I have a driving license but I don't drive during my tours to give full attention to guiding only.

Ere Tale tour

Awash National Park takes its name from the Awash River, which marks the park's southern boundary. Located 225 km east of Addis Ababa, it covers an area of 827 square km (319 square miles). The terrain is mainly acacia woodland and grassland.

Lying in the lowlands east of Addis Ababa and striding the National Park is one of the handpicked reserves in Ethiopia as it's the most reachable national park in the country. The Awash River, one of the major rivers of the Horn of Africa, waters important agricultural lands in the north- eastern part of Ethiopia and eventually flows into the wilderness of Danakil Depression. The dramatic Awash Falls as the river tumbles into its gorge is the site not to be missed in the national park. Awash National Park surrounding the dormant volcano of Fantale is one of the main features of the park on the southern flank of which can be seen the dark scar of the last lava flow of 1820 is a reserve.

I have been working for more than 10 years as guide. Join me and discover Arebaminch Nechesar National Park, where mammals such as zebras, grant's gazelle, dik-dik, the greater kudu, as well as one of the last three populations of the endangered swayne's hartebeest, African leopards, hyenas, lions, cheetah, giraffes, African wild dogs and hippopotamus live.

A stretch of the northwest shore of Lake Chamo is known as Crocodile Market, where hundreds of crocodiles gather to bask. The park also has populations of bushbuck, bushpig, Anubis baboon, vervet monkeys, and black-backed jackal.

The endangered painted hunting dog, Lycaon pictus, once existed in the park (with last sightings at Fincha). In 2009, a small group of less than 23 lions were estimated in and around the protected area. This National Park is considered an important habitat for birds, particularly those migrating. It has a noted population of kingfishers, storks, pelicans, flamingos and more!
