"The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page. " - Saint Augustine ________________________________________________________________________________________ Welcome/Dobrodošli, I am pleased to extend the warmest welcome to everyone who visits Croatia. My name is Frane (Frah-Neh), and I am a licensed tour guide for South Croatia since 2005. I was born and raised in Split, Croatia, but I also lived in Italy for a few years and in the United States for a year. A natural inclination towards the arts and an affinity for history have been the reason for a preoccupation with the respective fields since my childhood. The captivating uniqueness from the Ancient Civilizations of Europe, to modern Croatia, was in my everyday life either through books I read or the trips my parents organized for our family. It was only to be expected that I would study history, which I did, at the University of Split. I observed travelers from all over the world visiting Split with a local tour guide, and soon discovered that my purpose and goal could be nothing other than to share my love for the local culture with the people visiting my country. Becoming a tour guide was a conscious decision. Most of my career I have been leading private and group tours throughout Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, and now my specialization has become managing tourist itineraries and organizing private and tailor-made tours. When visiting Croatia, take advantage of its priceless cultural and natural heritage - discover the endless beauties and classic tales associated with it. Dalmatia, that is the name of my region - thousands of attributes try to define Dalmatia, to capture its essence, but none of them succeed completely, because this part of Croatia, located on the Eastern Adriatic Coast, with all its richness, complexity and diversity, refuses to be reduced to a concept, to be defined by a mere word. Dalmatia has been the subject and inspiration of a multitude of researches, from exact science to popular music; scientists, artists and journalists have all tried to fathom its essence, to express its essence, and the attributes have increased daily. Yet Dalmatia, that source of inspiration whose incomparable beauty remains unfathomed, still resists reduction to a few words. How could mere words express all the wealth of spirit that has accumulated over millennia? How could the magnificent scenic beauty that has always adorned Dalmatia be represented in a few letters? There is no single attribute that can capture all its facets, because its multifaceted character surprises not only travelers, but also its inhabitants. Dalmatia is more ravishing and beautiful than the most imaginative conceptions of it, more than all the words with which one tries to describe it. - From the natural heritage of the Plitvice Lakes and Krka Waterfalls National Parks to the cultural heritage of Split, Trogir, Šibenik - Following the attraction of the island of Hvar to the romantic Golden Horn beach of the island of Brač - Through the cobbled alleys and prominent city walls of the former Maritime Republic of Ragusa (now Dubrovnik), followed by the speedboat extravaganza of the Blue Lagoon and the island of Šolta - Across the Mostar Bridge in Bosnia-Herzegovina to wine tasting of autochthonous Dalmatian grape varieties - Visit Medjugorje, a special place reached by pilgrims in search of spirituality and serenity Join me on unique, enjoyable journeys tailored just for you and experience the magic through past, present and future. - Tour Guide License certified by the Croatian Ministry of Tourism (NTA) since 2005 - Member of The Guides Association of Croatia - EU Professional driving license for passenger transport - Motorcycle endorsement (authorization for driving any class of motor vehicle and engine capacity) - University degree in History and Economics at the University of Split - Proud partner of IGLTA I am a licensed tour guide and I do NOT have any restrictions.
