Born and raised in Slavonia, the continental part of Croatia, and moved to Istria in the '90. I have had the opportunity to work in tourism for the last 15 years, mostly in marketing for high profile companies but also the Croatian National tourist Board - the main national tourism promoting organization.

In the last five years I am leading tours throughout Croatia, including walking, food and leisure tours but also hiking and cycling tours. I am extremely fond of my home region of Istria because of it's incredible history, beautiful nature and mild climate.

Rovinj express walking city tour

Enjoy a day of visiting the main features of coastal and inland Istria. Join me in discovering the amazing history, culture and local life of the hilltop towns of Motovun, Groznjan and the beautiful coastal town of Poreč.

I will tell you the differences of living on the coast vs hinterland, and notice the differences in food, local customs and people. We will visit one of the main truffle producers so you can taste the magical ingredient that has marked the gastronomy of the Istrian hinterland.

Among the beautiful views of the land and the sea we can have a traditional lunch in a local inn (konoba) where the food comes directly from the owner's garden. (Lunch is not included in the price of the tour)

We are going to walk the ancient town of Poreč through its narrow cobbled-stone streets constructed by the Romans in the 1st century B. C.

Enjoy three days of visiting the main features of coastal and inland Istria. Join me in discovering the amazing history, culture and local life of the hilltop towns of Motovun, Groznjan, medieval Svetvinčenat, Pazin and the beautiful coastal towns like Poreč, Rovinj, Novigrad and Vrsar.
The 3 days tour discovers Istria from it's first known settlements 4000 years ago till today. Day 1 we discover the ancient history, day 2 the medieval influence and day 3 we discover the Venetian influence and present of Istria
We will visit one of the main truffle producers so you can taste the magical ingredient that has marked the gastronomy of the Istrian hinterland. We will also be able to see how the truffles are found in the nature going for a hunt with a local producer and his dogs.
- Each day we will have an option to go for lunch in a local inn (konoba) where the food comes directly from the owner's garden or pickup some food at a grocery store and eat in the nature. (Lunch is not included in the price of the tour)
